Precocious Expansion Continues For Ascend Properties

In recent weeks Ascend Properties have become the industry’s busiest acquirer of businesses and probably holds the record for estate and letting agency acquisitions in 2021 so far.

First, NW Estates in Warrington in February. Then Rent Smart UK in North Manchester in March. Plus, later that month, their move to bigger, professionally refurbished branches in Leeds and the West Midlands.

April does not intend to be outdone as a month for further activity and, just in case you were concerned that you hadn’t seen news of further expansion by Ged McPartlin’s firm, Ascend are announcing yet another addition to their stable with the purchase of Elavace Estates, a lettings management portfolio in Merseyside.

The 130 properties under management are mainly focussed across two major apartment schemes at - Strand Plaza in Liverpool City Centre; and Wishing Well in Bootle.

As with Ascend’s previous acquisition, they are retaining staff and the customer facing aspect of the Elavace will go unchanged. Ascend will add their unique ‘toolkit’ of resource, marketing, technology, management expertise and funding to increase performance and efficiency for owners and residents alike.

Ascend’s approach is “unapologetically precocious” says Ged McPartrlin.

Managing Director of Ascend Properties, Ged McPartlin, commented:

Our goal is to own and manage 10 estate and letting agency branches and 11,000 properties under management by the end of 2022. We’re well ahead of schedule to meet that ambition and will have further announcements shortly. We are also interested in speaking to any smaller independent letting agents that are considering an exit or part-sale this year.
